After completing the initial home kitchen survey, our design team got to work developing the first draft floor plan and 3D visualisations. Mr Bonney’s vision was clear — he wanted to modernise his Manchester apartment and optimise the layout to create a stylish, functional kitchen with space for a dedicated dining area.
Once the initial concepts were ready, we presented a comprehensive kitchen design proposal, complete with detailed layouts and a short video walkthrough showcasing how the reimagined space would look and feel. Mr Bonney was thrilled with the designs and quickly booked a design review meeting to dive deeper into the details.
These design review sessions are one of our favourite parts of the process. They give clients the chance to see, touch, and compare materials, explore layout tweaks, and make sure every element works perfectly for their lifestyle. During Mr Bonney’s review, we looked closely at different door colour options and quartz worktop samples to find the perfect pairing. Week 1: Bringing the Design to Life – Installation Begins!
After weeks of design planning, it was finally time to bring Mr Bonney’s modern Manchester kitchen renovation to life! Our installation team arrived bright and early, ready to transform the space from blueprint to reality.
Monday:
The first day on-site is always full of energy — and this one was no exception! Our team arrived at 8 am sharp to begin preparations. The day kicked off with removing the old kitchen and clearing the space ready for the brand-new layout. Excitement levels were high as the new kitchen delivery arrived, setting the stage for a week of big progress.
Tuesday:
With the site prepped, our installers got straight to work assembling the new kitchen units. By the end of the day, most of the base cabinets and appliance housings were in place — giving the first real glimpse of the new layout taking shape.
Wednesday:
By midweek, all base units were fully installed and secured, ready for the next crucial step — quartz worktop templating. It’s always an exciting milestone, as the kitchen starts to feel like a finished space.
Thursday:
Templating day! Our specialists arrived to create precise templates for the Tuscany quartz worktops by Fugen Stone. With the sink and hob on-site, we could ensure every cut-out was measured to perfection. This attention to detail guarantees a seamless fit and flawless finish once the worktops are installed.
Week 2: The Finishing Touches – Bringing It All Together
With the new layout in place and the excitement building, Week 2 was all about completing the installation and adding those final details that truly bring a modern kitchen renovation to life.
Monday:
Our team arrived early to continue fitting the remaining kitchen units, carefully cutting and installing the end panels for a flawless, custom finish. Every corner and edge was double-checked to ensure the clean, seamless look that’s at the heart of every Kitchen Design and Supply project.
Tuesday:
By Tuesday, all units and appliances were fully fitted and perfectly aligned, ready for the star of the show — the Tuscany quartz worktops by Fugen Stone. Like all our quartz projects, there’s a short waiting period of around 7–10 days between templating and installation while the stone is expertly fabricated at the factory. This ensures a precision-engineered fit and the highest possible finish.
Thursday:
A big milestone day! The quartz worktops arrived and were installed in just a couple of hours. Once fitted, no further work is carried out on the units, sink, or hob area to allow the stone adhesive and silicone to cure properly — a vital step for lasting strength and durability.
Friday:
With the quartz perfectly set, our team installed and connected the sink, tap, and hob, bringing the kitchen to life. That afternoon, we carried out a final inspection and handover with Mr Bonney, who was thrilled with the finished result. His once-outdated kitchen was now a stunning, modern space designed for both everyday living and entertaining.
